Xurakhya

XURAKHYA (which means security), is a joint initiative in partnership with the Labour Welfare Department, Government of Assam. It is aimed at improving awareness, access, and delivery of Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) schemes for IPs (Insured Persons) and their families, across Assam. It focuses on building trust, accessibility, and improved service delivery, especially for last-mile and underserved workers.

Xurakhya is designed around four strategic pillars:

  1. Governance through digital adoption

  2. Access and supply of services

  3. Demand generation and service utilization

  4. Improving quality and patient experience

  • Strengthening convergence and uptake of PM-JAY and ESI schemes

  • Promoting digital transformation in ESI facilities by building a cadre of certified Master Trainers

  • Cultivating community engagement through trained field-level volunteers known as “ESI Mitras”
