Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects

Doctor on Wheels
District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Chaibasa, West Singhbhum, Govt. of Jharkhand initiated the roll out of six fleets of ‘Doctor on Wheels’ i.e. Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) from July 2023 to deliver primary health care services to the tribal communities. Doctor on Wheels successfully operating the MMUs in – Anandapur & Manoharpur, Kumardungi, Majhgaon, Hatgamharia, Jagannathpur and Noamundi targets to enhance the health and well-being of village/haat level residents provide regular & high-quality healthcare services at their doorsteps. These units equipped with medical equipment, point of care diagnostic devices, drugs & consumables focus on – curative services, reproductive & child health services, diagnostic services and raising awareness and has served more than 77000 beneficiaries.

Sehat Ok Please (Sanofi)
Nurse led Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) in collaboration with Sanofi french multinational pharmaceutical company initiated the project titled ‘Sehat OK Please” from February 2022 operating 21 MMUs across ten districts of Maharashtra. The project focused towards screening of beneficiaries of 30 years and above for non-Communicable diseases (NCDs) including diabetes mellitus, hypertension and oral cancer. By facilitating early diagnosis, through health education efforts and establishing good referral linkages for further management, this project has served more than 7.8 million beneficiaries.

Ispat Sanjeevani – Bokaro Steel Plant
One Mobile Medical Unit (MMU), in collaboration with Bokaro Steel Plant (SAIL) titled ‘Ispat Sanjeevani” is operational from February 2016 to deliver preventive, curative and referral health services at the doorstep of the communities residing at the peripheral villages of Bokaro Steel Plant (SAIL). The Mobile Medical van covers 45 locations every month which includes 41 villages and 4 schools providing healthcare services focus towards Communicable & Non-communicable diseases, Ante-Natal Care (ANC), Post Natal Care (PNC) and Reproductive Child Health (RCH). Attending to around 50-60 beneficiaries daily, Ispat Sanjeevani MMU has reached over 1.38 lakh beneficiaries in the last 8 years. The MMU service aims to provide basic health care services to the population residing around the periphery area of Bokaro Steel Plant, SAIL.

Swasthya Kiran (BPSCL)
Bokaro Power Supply Co. Pvt. Ltd. (BPSCL) is supporting the operation of “Swasthya Kiran”, one Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) from March 2016 to provide primary health care services at the doorsteps of the communities residing within the periphery of remote villages of Bokaro district (Chas and Jaridih blocks). The initiative focuses in providing health services for communicable & non-communicable diseases, antenatal and postnatal care & reproductive & child health.
Swasthya Kiran, a village outreach program covers 40 villages each month and has served more than 1.34 lakh beneficiaries since inception.

Saranda Sanjeevani (Kiriburu Iron Ore Mines & Gua Ore Mines)
Both Kiriburu Iron Ore Mines (KIOM) and Gua Ore Mines (GOM) are in West Singhbhum district (Jharkhand) and operated by BSL-SAIL. Two Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) branded as “Saranda Sanjeevani” initiated by Bokaro Steel Plant (SAIL) from November 2023 to provide preventive, promotive and curative health services to communities residing near Kiriburu Iron Ore mines (KIOM) and Gua Ore mines (GOM). These MMUs provide free health services to patients suffering from communicable & non-communicable diseases (acute & chronic ailments), pregnant women, children, common OPD (basis OPD care) along with laboratory services and providing health education to community members residing within the periphery of these mines.
Saranda Sanjeevani launched to provide medical health services to the underserved people at their doorsteps, have registered around 10k (KIOM) and 9K (GOM) beneficiaries since inception.

Bolani Ores Mines (BOM)
Bolani Ores Mines (RSP-SAIL) in partnership with Piramal Swasthya is operating 1 mobile medical unit (MMU) called ‘Gramin Swasthya Sanjeevani’ in the remote areas of Barbil, Odisha. Launched in December 2024, Gramin Swasthya Sanjeevani, for the next 36 months will provide preventive, curative and referral medical health services at the doorsteps to the people of un-served and underserved areas of Bolani and Balagoda.
The project aims to address healthcare challenges in the region by providing essential primary healthcare services such as screening, diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses and non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
The services of Gramin Swasthya Sanjeevani is expected to touch the lives of around 33k beneficiaries.

Sutlej Sanjeevani Seva
‘Sutlej Sanjeevani Seva’ which comprises of three Mobile Medial Vans (MMUs) supported by Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd, initiated from November 2023 to cover 6 districts of three states i.e. Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh & Uttar Pradesh. Three fleets reach out to persons suffering from communicable diseases, having risk factors for diabetes, hypertension and oral cancers and minor ailments and common episodic illnesses. These MMUs targets to provide free and quality medical health services to local communities around project areas who were displaced due to installation of hydro projects, solar power projects and wind station.
Since inception, Sutlej Sanjeevani Seva has touched the lives of over 18k beneficiaries.

Nirog Clinic + Mobile Medical Unit
The 'Nirog' project that started in collaboration with Asian Paints in July 2019, comprises of 5 static clinics and 1 mobile medical unit (MMU), dispersed across five Indian states. Static clinics are located at Uttar Pradesh (Kasna), Telengana (Patancheru), Maharashtra (Khandala), Karnataka (Mysore) and Andhra Pradesh (Visakhapatnam). Mobile Medical Unit operates at Visakhapatnam only.
The Asian Paints ‘Nirog’ project provides health services to vulnerable sections of remote and rural villages with a focus on RMNCH+A (Reproductive, maternal, neonatal, child health and adolescence), NCD (Non-communicable diseases- diabetes & hypertension), eye care and general ailments. Over 3.6 lakh beneficiaries have benefited from the program's commitment to providing continuum of care at both MMU and the static clinic.

Saurya Urja Company of Rajasthan Limited (SUCRL)
Piramal Swasthya in partnership with Saurya Urja Company of Rajasthan Limited (SUCRL)- a renewable energy company are operating 2 mobile medical units (MMUs) in 50 identified villages of Bap Tehsil in Phalodi district, Rajasthan.
Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) will provide early NCD (non-communicable diseases) detection, conduct health awareness, laboratory test, referrals and follow-ups. Over the next 3 years, the project aims to offer high-quality prevent ative, promotive, curative healthcare services and also foster a positive attitude towards health through community awareness sessions.
The project is anticipated to reach to over 69,000 beneficiaries in a span of 3 years.

Piramal Arogya Sewa (Digwal)- Piramal Enterprises
‘Piramal Arogya Seva’ supported by Piramal Enterprises is a unique solution where mobile health services (MMUs) and static clinic with integrated telemedicine services to provide primary as well as specialized healthcare services to the residents of the villages located near Piramal’s factory at Digwal (Telengana). The services were launched in May 2013 to treat communicable and non-communicable chronic ailments, provide antenatal services, neonates, infants, and children (under 5 years of age), addicts and minor ailments (including skin diseases, animal / snake bite cases).
Offering a wide range of services to address the unique needs and challenges of local communities, this initiative also aims to improve health awareness through increased participation of the communities.
‘Piramal Arogya Seva’ through static clinic and MMU has reached to over 3.2 lakh beneficiaries.

Nirmay (SMFG India Credit Co. Ltd)
SMFG India Credit Co. Ltd previously known as Fullerton India is supporting the deployment of one Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) at Rajamahendravaram (Andhra Pradesh) from February 2021. The "Nirmay" initiative aims to treat minor illnesses, non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes and hypertension, communicable diseases such as malaria and tuberculosis, and pregnant women and children by offering primary health care services that are preventative, promotional, and curative. Though awareness sessions, beneficiaries in these remote and rural areas are made aware on the services and referrals to reduce further complications.
Since inception, over 44k beneficiaries have benefited through the services provided in these locations.

Mobile Medical Van – Truckers
Initiated healthcare interventions for trucker’s community in collaboration with Shriram Seva Sankalp Foundation (SSSF), from March 2017, this initiative aims to improve the overall health status among truck drivers.
The project operates 14 Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) and 1 Static Clinic in Mumbai covering 11 states of India providing treatment for common and minor ailments, non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, hypertension, and oral cancer screening.
Additionally, efforts are made to encourage health-seeking behaviors among truck drivers by educating them on dangers of alcohol and tobacco use, HIV/AIDS/STIs, safe sex practices, and emphasizing on the importance of overall health and mental wellness.
Over 1.3 million truck drivers and their families have benefited through this initiative.
Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects

Sanjeevani – Village Health Outreach Program (VHOP)
Sanjeevani Village Health Outreach Program (VHOP) in collaboration with National Health Mission, Assam, started in February 2011 is once-a month, fixed date outreach initiative that enables converged health services at the Village level.
78 Mobile Medical Units deployed across 30 districts of Assam, provide early identification, screening, referral, follow-up and free medicines for chronic diseases namely diabetes, hypertension, asthma, malaria, tuberculosis, defective vision and epilepsy along with ante-natal care (ANC) and minor ailments including telemedicine support for diabetes & hypertension cases.
The program has served over 12 million beneficiaries since inception.

1097 National AIDS Helpline
The 1097 Helpline, India’s first National AIDS Helpline, was launched on World Aids Day in 2014 through a partnership between the NACO (National AIDS Control Organization- A division of Ministry and Family Welfare, Government of India.) and Piramal Swasthya. The helpline operates round-the-clock (24x7) through four call centers located at Hyderabad, Jaipur, Guwahati and Chandigarh with multilingual abilities (16 languages) to address queries of callers.
1097 National AIDS Helpline provides comprehensive information related to HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), counselling services ensuring anonymity, referral services, information directory/referral service, grievance redressal and feedback escalation to different population groups across India.
The call centre supports both in-bound and out-bound calling services and has aided over 5.7 million callers since inception.

SARATHI Health Information Helpline
‘Sarathi’ 104 Health Information Helpline has been deployed in Assam on 7th November 2010, in collaboration with National Health Mission, Assam. The helpline is a state of the art, round-the clock and free of cost health contact center. It is a one-stop Health Information Helpline for resolving all health-related issues of the citizens of Assam in a time bound manner.
Assam Early Childhood Development (ECD) Call centre was launched on 1st January 2020, is an out bound call centre trying to complement the existing initiatives of the state by reaching out to pregnant mothers and parents of every child up to the age of 2 years which further helps in reducing Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). SARATHI 104, which is currently in the second phase of operations since January 2023 has reached more than 21 million beneficiaries.

104 HIHL - Bihar
104 Health Information Helpline – Bihar is operational from October 2019 in collaboration with State Health Society (SHS), Bihar is a state of the art, round-the-clock (24x7) and free of cost health contact center. It is a one stop Health Information Helpline to provide medical information and medical advice to remote and vulnerable sections of the community thereby reducing load on Public Health System.
Core services include counselling callers, providing directory information, service improvement & grievance redressal, mother and child tracking (MCTS), early childhood development (ECD), scheme related information, COVID related services.
Bihar Early Childhood Development (ECD) call centre launched in December 2022, is an out bound call centre which reaches out to pregnant mothers and parents of every child up to the age of 2 years to educate them, which further helps in reducing Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR).
Since inception, 104 HIHL- Bihar has received 6.3 million inbound calls and made around 4.8 million outbound calls.
