Mission Unnayan

Mission Unnayan is a transformative initiative to elevate the standard and quality of pre-service nursing education across the state. It aims to build a robust quality assurance framework for nursing institutes.

Led by the Bihar Nurses Registration Council (BNRC) and supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), Mission Unnayan envisions setting the stage for high-caliber nursing professionals in Bihar.

Components:

  • BNRC Digital Platform – Streamlines nursing services and support professional growth through tools for tracking competencies, managing grievances, handling examinations, and storing essential documents securely, all integrated with systems like Digi Locker. 
  • Ni-Tag- A geo-tagging app to map nursing institutes, enabling better planning and monitoring.
  • Quality Rating and Mentorship programs- Institutes will receive ratings (A–E) based on factors like infrastructure, teaching, and outcomes in partnership with the Quality Council of India (QCI)
  • E-Kshamata LMS- A platform in collaboration with the Aastrika Foundation to empower nursing students with high-quality, competency-based digital content, and mentorship programs.
