
Bihar State Transformation Program
We are supporting the Department of Health, Government of Bihar to enable digital orchestration for health system strengthening across the state, with a special focus on Muzaffarpur district.
Components:
- BAHMNI – A user-friendly, modular hospital solution with an electronic medical record (EMR) system that operates on an open-source platform.
- AMRIT – A digital health platform that connects beneficiaries, health facilities, and workers in an integrated ecosystem. As a public good, it ensures a seamless healthcare continuum, completing the referral loop from homes to district hospitals.
- IoT Devices – To enhance overall rural healthcare by increasing the efficiency of existing medical equipment. For instance, monitoring the power supply to a specific device.
- Point of Care Devices – Medical testing done at the point of care i.e. the patient’s location. Two POCT devices are installed across the pilot district of Muzaffarpur – HealthCube (a range of tests using an Android based software) and Fetosense (improve maternity care through foetal heart monitoring).
- SAKHI- An app that enables ASHAs to use technology for efficient data collection, reducing manual work, redundancy, and processing time. It gathers information on non-communicable diseases, maternal and child health, family planning, immunization, and more.
- Swasthya Samiksha Kendra – A state-of-the-art facility with dashboards to enable real time monitoring of healthcare facilities to enable data consolidation and visualization.
- E-Sanjeevani- A teleconsultation portal that facilitates quick and easy access to doctors and medical specialists from your smartphones.
- ANMOL Adoption: Driving the adoption of this mobile app among frontline workers by leveraging digital tools and capacity-building efforts.
- Supply chain management (SCM): To improve efficiency, quality and strengthen institutional capabilities, systems, and processes to use digital technologies.
- Patient Grievance Redressal: For citizens to experience faster and more effective resolution of related grievances and Improved accountability & responsibility, resulting in better quality and timely service delivery.
- ABDM- Enrolling health facilities (HFR) on the ABDM portal, enabling all health professionals (HPR) in the state to be registered, and boosting the creation of ABHA ID.
